FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Why wait?  Dr. Holder is extremely proficient and detailed in each patient’s examination.  As a holistic physician, he addresses the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of each patient.  He puts an immense amount of time and energy into catering to each individual patient’s needs.  He is dedicated to finding the cause of symptoms and disease states, and creates specific regimens to address each patient’s individual diagnosis.  Each patient is given the same courtesy, so patience is key.

How do I get the most out of my appointment?  In order to take responsibility for your own health care and actively engage in the process of improving your health, you must research your diagnoses and treatment regimen. We recommend you take notes during your appointment to keep in your medical records at home. These notes also serve as useful reference when you have questions about your regimen, diagnosis, and the next steps in your treatment plan.

What is the non-billable portion of the visit? Why is the non-billable not covered by my insurance?  The non-billable portion of your fees covers the holistic examination and consultation that takes place during your visit.  Holistic examinations and consultations are not covered by insurance, which means that the beneficiary (patient) must pay the fee for services out of pocket.

Why not a quick fix? Can’t he just prescribe a drug that works faster?  In order to take full responsibility for yourself and your health, you need to change your lifestyle and follow your individual treatment regimen. Prescription drugs may momentarily treat your symptoms, but they don’t ultimately prevent your symptoms from reoccurring.  They also may cause side effects, exacerbate current disease states, and trigger new disease processes.

What is the best way to get a question answered?   We offer different communication channels through which you can ask a question. If the question requires a detailed response and is not an immediate concern, we recommend  you write your question down and bring it with you to your next office visit. If you need a prompt response, you can email the question to Dr. Holder, and he will give you a direct response within 48 hours.  Please refer to the patient pathways of communication on page 16 of this folder prior to asking a question.

What do I do in case of emergency?   In case of an emergency, please call 911 immediately or go to the closest emergency room. Please leave Dr. Holder a message stating that you are in the emergency room.
